Ashley van der Meulen is a certified and licensed professional inspector with
more than two decades worth of experience, Compass Inspection Services
provides a variety of inspection services with the help of the industry’s most
up-to-date technologies.
Ashley has completed more than ten-thousand inspections including residential, commercial, thermal/infrared imaging and stucco inspections. Ashley specializes in general property purchase inspections and moisture source identification in buildings. At Compass Inspection Service, we assemble data at our inspections and interpret it to create detailed narrative and pictured reports to relay our findings effectively to you. We also offer repair recommendations and can offer the approximate cost to cure a multitude of construction issues.
Andrew Demoulette is a licensed professional home inspector in the states of Louisiana (LHI# 11348) and soon to be Mississippi with past professional work experience in HVAC and water mitigation. Andrew's home inspection career began with Compass Inspection Services, as an apprentice to Ashley. He has since worked on many property inspections including residential and commercial. As a thorough and detail-oriented inspector, Andrew will identify potential issues that may not be immediately apparent to the average person. As a husband and father of two, Andrew understands commitment and responsibility and looks forward to helping you make an informed decision on your next home purchase.
Gerard Diest was born and raised in Kenner and has been a dedicated Captain with the Kenner Fire Department for the past 23 years. Outside of the fire service he enjoys spending time with his family and has a wide range of interests. He follows New Orleans sports closely, including the Saints, LSU football, and the Pelicans. He has a hands-on, detail-oriented personality and enjoys learning how things work. Whether researching home construction or FORTIFIED Home requirements, identifying HVAC equipment, solving math problems, working on home projects, or learning something new, he tends to focus on getting the details right. He is currently a Fortified Evaluator No. E011474 and is currently working towards his home inspection license.
At heart, Gerard is someone who values his family, profession, community, and continuing to learn and improve.
Alvise Girolami is a licensed home inspector in the State of Louisiana (LHI# 20036). He brings precision and attention to detail to every inspection, making sure nothing gets overlooked — from the roof down to the foundation. Originally from Italy, Alvise is married to a native New Orleanian and a proud father of a 6-year-old, and he understands firsthand how much a home means to a family. He walks each client through his findings in plain terms, taking the time to answer questions and explain what matters most, so you can move forward with confidence.
